Enjoy! Alternatively, you can download the PDF version from here.

Anatomy of CC License: The Creative commmons license are built upon 3 layers: Legal Code- which is a base layer. It contains terms and conditions that are legally enforceble in court, Common Deed- which is a web page that lay out the key license terms. In the other words, it is a "human-readable" summary of legal codes". Machine readable- which is a metadata that is readable by amchiens such as search engines. It is a magical code that makes your CC licensed work more findable.

There are also 4 license elements which are ATtribution/By- where all of the license require this condition. It means in order to use the work you will need to attribute the original author of the work. Share Alike, which means the adaptation based on this license must be licensed under the same license, Non Commercial- which means the work is only available to be used for non-commercial purpose and Non Derivative- which means the reusers cannot share adaptation of the work.
There are 6 Creative Commons License which are CC by: which allows people to use the work for any purpose, CC by SA, which allows people to use the work for any purpose as long as they attribute and share the work under the same license, CC by NC which allows people to use the work for noncommercial purpose as long as they attribute, CC by NC SA which allows people to use the workfor non commercial purpose as long as they attribute and share the work under the same license, CC by ND which allows people to use the work for any purpose as long as they attribute and do not make modification to the work and CC by ND which allows people to use the work for noncommercial purpose as long as they attribute and do not make modification to the work.

Creative Commons license apply only when work is within the scope of copyright law. This means. If a copyright exception or limitation applies to a work or portion of work, users can use the work under fair use/dealing and need not reply on the terms of a CC license. Creative Commons license cannot be applied to public domain work because copyright does not apply in public domain.
